Job #RRR3

You can get the look of cherry cabinets by selecting red birch and having a talented stain and finish guy. This is our first experience with Silestone. Two different colors of this solid surface were used here. A well-known recording artist lives here. He meticulously designed this kitchen, and even did a bit of the work himself!

Job #5945

A sort of "Hey, just do it; we want the best no matter what it costs!" attitude made this out to be one of the finest looking kitchens we have ever completed. This photo barely reveals the feel of this kitchen. Granite tops, two different cabinet colors and the best appliances, this kitchen invites you from every part of the home.

Job #5937

All black and white, even down to the two grout colors, this kitchen has all the feel of the fifties, with chrome bar stools and retro-style lights. Reed glass in these upper cabinets lets light through without having to show off fancy china if you don't want to.

Job #5961

I am overwhelmed by the transformation we created in this 50 year-old home.We did it by removing the partition wall between the living room and the kitchen. These are cherry cabinets with shaker-style doors, brick looking tiles on the backsplash, granite tops and recessed halogen lights in the ceiling and over the task areas, like we do in most of our kitchens.

Job #5992

This bright and beautiful kitchen is convincing proof of how nice painted cabinets can be. They look especially nice against the oak hardwood floor. This is also a good use of the traditional "U" shaped design for a kitchen. As with most all of our kitchens these cabinets have blind adjustable hinges and the drawers are all mounted with full extension guides. The interiors of the cabinets and drawers are white melamine finish. These tops are Corian with a tile backsplash. The stainless steel splash behind the cooktop was made to order.

Job #5839
This kitchen features "Home Depot" cabinets (purchased by the homeowner and installed by us). The ceiling height is seven feet due to HVAC ducting between floors. Recessed lights were installed between the pendant lights to give the island more adequate lighting without overcrowding the pendant lights. These countertops are Wilsonart laminate 360 degree bullnosed fronts. It gives the appearance of granite without the cost. We were able to protect and patch in the existing laminate flooring.

Job #5084
This kitchen in Colusa, CA features birch cabinets with a whitewash finish, low volt halogen recessed lights and laminate tops. We also installed an exhaust fan behind the cooktop which raises up about six inches behind the cooktop area when it is activated. It features a remote motor which keeps the noise level down significantly.

Job #5860
This high end master bathroom features tile floor, tile walls
to about 36 inches high, tile countertops and backsplash, glass block partition wall and tile to the ceiling in the shower. Most of our showers are designed to be functional without shower doors.

Job #2385
This is a custom bathroom vanity which is about 37 inches high. There are several advantages to the extra height ( about 7 inches higher than traditional ). Among other benefits it is much easier for posture and back to have a higher sink, and you get an extra row of drawers.

Job #2385
Although more expensive to build than traditional redwood or cedar decks , TREX is our composite deck of choice. We have taken out enough decks that have deteriorated over the years to be convinced that the composite decks are a real bargain over the long term. Framing with pressure treated and standard lumber and covering our joists with sheet metal caps or other water resistant membrane helps insure that the frame will last the many years that the decking does. Our most recent deck was fastened with stainless steel screws that are designed to pull the composite down and not leave a mushroom affect at the top of the decking.
